  • [es-pree de less-ka/-iay] (idiom) A witty remark that occurs to you too late, literally on the way down the stairs. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations defines esprit de l'escalier as, "An untranslatable phrase, the meaning of which is that one only thinks on one's way downstairs of the smart retort one might have made in the drawing room."

what a nice surprise! very pretty flowers. :)

and hi!!!!! I got your musicswap package in the mail this weekend! yay! thanks so much, there were soooo many cute little goodies in there...i love it! I am hoping to post about it soon and take photos of all the goods. :) I especially loved those magnets (did you make them...I've been wanting to try that for a while now!) and they went right up on my magnet collage! that fabric scrap is adorable too. and the pins. and the postcard (thank you for the sweet message & poem). and the button (you do know me! lol). and let's not forget...the cd! the whole reason for the swap. I love it! I haven't gotten a chance yet to really sit down & dig into it, but what I've heard, I really enjoy! :)

again, just wanted to say thanks! you're my first-ever swap package...yay! oh and happy early birthday (if it's really soon!)!

.♥.

H.B. Claire!

Your office is so lovely with the photos. Did you get them at that site you shared with us a while back?

Hi Jenn-- I'm so glad you got the package! I hope you like the mix-- you're my first swap partner as well.

Hey AG-- One of the pictures is from Tiny Showcase but most of them are art prints or postcards from museums or poster stores or my own snap shots. It's colorful.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!
